After work last night it was still warm outside around 8:30pm so I decided to stop by the Griffith Observatory that I pass by every night on my way home. I didn’t spend much time there, pretty much just walked the perimeter and took in the sights and snapped a couple pictures. I’ll probably go back on a night when I can take my wife with me and spend more time and check out the telescopes. Here is one of the pictures I took from the observation deck, it’s not the best picture because it was hazy out and the city was actually quite far.

Wedding Photos

As most of you know, I got married recently in Temecula, CA. After about 3 months we have finally received our wedding photos from the wedding photographer. There are many many more pictures but I’ve selected just a smaller group to put online.

Yesterday I went to the Miramar Air Show in San Diego. I had heard it was the biggest military air show so I was excited to see it. Man was it huge. I was there from 9am until closing at about 5:30pm and I never even saw half of what was on display. I did watch the entire show though, from a front row box seat that was well worth the $21 I paid for it. I’ll be going back next year no doubt. Here are a few pictures I took using my new telephoto zoom lens.

With our house nearing final construction and our move-in date approaching in the next 2 months we got ourselves a new puppy just in time to house train it before moving into the house. His name is Hunter and he is an English cream golden retriever. He’s now about 11 weeks old but at the time I took the pictures he was 9 weeks old. He loves playing with our other dog Samantha too and now they are best friends.

I’ve gone to the shooting range a couple of times this month and I was lucky enough to go last night to a place that had an old Russian Mosin Nagant rifle that was used in WW2 by the Russian Army. This thing was so loud that it made everyone in the range stop what they were doing and look. It made small arms fire seem like childs fireworks. I also shot a Glock .9mm and a shotgun.

We didn’t do much in Sicily today. We just went to the beach for a few hours and I didn’t take very many pictures. I have an extra small camera that is waterproof that I normally use to take pictures when the camera could possibly get wet, but today it sprung a leak and the camera stopped working. Only a few pictures from Sicily, here is one of them. Tomorrow is a day at sea so I’d imaging just a bunch of pictures from aboard the Voyager of the Seas.

We got off the ship at the Naples port and took a hydrofoil to the island of Capri which was very small but beautiful. Lunch was amazing there. Then we took another hydrofoil to Sorrento where we just walked around a bit before getting on the train through Pompeii back to Naples.

Rome was by far the best place we have visited so far. We both want to come back sometime for a week and spend more time here. We visited the Vatican, Sistine Chappel, some museums, Trevi Fountain, and the colloseum. More pics when I get back home, have to be quick on the ships wi-fi.

Pisa was awesome. We saw the leaning tower and even went inside of it up to the top. It’s actually pretty dang scarry up there because you really feel the effect of it leaning and the railings up there aren’t very sturdy. Since the roof is very slanted it’s awkward walking on it. We go to Rome tomorrow. Excited!

Today we were in Nice and Monaco and we’re exhausted after walking around all day! We took the train from Nice to Monaco and then went to the Monte Carlo casino where I gambled and won! I am bringing home one of my chips that I won for a souveneer.
